OFFICIAL DAILY ACTION FOR Tuesday, September 2nd!
Sign up for OneAmerica – We Belong – Press Event and Rally, Wednesday, September 17th!
Join us for a press conference and rally in Seattle to hold our elected officials accountable to protecting us and to demonstrate we all belong in Washington!
From our friends OneAmerica, With Justice For All:
“Over the years, Washington State has been a welcoming state to all, no matter where we come from. We’ve built a trust with our immigrant neighbors, like winning access to driver’s license to get to work and school and access healthcare to live thriving and healthy lives. But now, that trust is being broken. The healthcare and licensing data of all Washingtonians is being accessed by federal agents and Governor Ferguson’s inaction to shut federal agencies, like ICE, from accessing our private data is putting all of our privacy at risk.
“Couple this with the rise in authoritarianism from the Trump Administration, cutting pivotal programs our communities rely on to fund DHS to continue to terrorize and disappear our people, and the constant fear and anger coursing through our communities – it is time for Washington State leaders to step up and do more than just talk. The easiest way for an authoritarian government to get access to our people, is via accessing our data. We must fight this together.”
