SCRIPT: My name is [name], and I’m calling from [city, zip]. I am calling to ask the Governor to respond to the dangerous restrictions placed on who can receive the Covid vaccines. The narrowed FDA approval does not stop doctors from prescribing the vaccine, and Washington must be ready to respond to the demand.
A New Republic article (Greg Sargent/August 29, 2025) outlines a number of responses that would safeguard Washington residents’ health:
1) Purchase large amounts of Covid vaccines directly from manufacturers
2) Enhance the clinic systems to make it easier for people to receive the vaccine
3) Join with other blue states’ top health officials and form a group to coordinate multi-state vaccine policy
The Illinois governor, JB Pritzker, is already making plans. Please follow his lead and make a commitment to protect residents of Washington State and prevent a resurgence of Covid in our state.
