From Indivisible:

People detained at Delaney Hall and other detention centers are on hunger strike to protest their captivity and inhumane treatment by ICE. Show your solidarity with the hunger strikers by demanding Congressional action against Trump’s mass detention regime.

SCRIPT:

Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent from [Your City, State]. I am calling today to ask that [Senator Name/Representative Name] publicly use every tool at their disposal to reject the violence happening at Delaney Hall and detention centers around the country.

Specifically, I urge [Senator Name/Representative Name] to do the following:

  • Draw attention to the conditions at Delaney Hall and detention centers around the country by visiting Delaney Hall or local sites
  • Investigate ICE detaining thousands of immigrants under dangerous conditions
  • Oppose any additional funding for ICE, or Border Patrol

I expect [Senator Name/Representative Name] to use their power as my elected official to demand dignity for immigrants and reject any expansions to Trump’s mass detention and deportation agenda.
