The following action is adapted from Indivisible National:
On July 19th & 21st, 2022, the House passed two critically important bills: the Respect for Marriage Act & the Right to Contraception Act, which will codify into federal law the rights for same-sex and interracial marriage and access to contraception. Both garnered every single Democrat voting in support of the bills, and unsurprisingly mostly all but a handful of Republican Congress Members voted against the bills.
In the Dobbs decision from the extreme far-right Supreme Court, Clarence Thomas made the Courts’ intent clear, they are going to continue striking down fundamental rights like access to contraception, marriage equality, and much more. This is why Congressional action to codify those rights into federal law is extremely important!
Now, we need the Senate to take up the House-passed bills and pass them immediately!

Hello, I’m a constituent from [part of state] and I am very concerned about the Supreme Court’s clear intention to roll back protections for marriage equality and access to contraception. I am calling to ask [Senator] to support the House-passed bills: The Respect for Marriage Act and The Right to Contraception Act.
There’s no time to waste. We need the Senate to act now by codifying into federal law the irrefutable right to access to contraception and protections for same-sex marriage.
Will [Senator] vote to pass these two bills? I’ll be watching to ensure my Senator moves quickly to protect people’s right to reproductive healthcare and equal protection under the law for same-sex and interracial couples.
