OFFICIAL DAILY ACTION FOR Thursday, April 14th, 2022
As vice chair of the House Panel investigating the January 6th insurrection, Representative Liz Cheney has been tasked with bringing Donald Trump to justice. In a statement made this week, the Republican representative confirmed the President and members of his inner circle lead a ‘massive and well-organized and well-planned effort that used multiple tools to try to overturn an election.’
Although the bipartisan committee has overwhelming evidence that could indict Trump, they remain undecided on whether they will refer Trump for criminal charges. Ahead of public hearings anticipated to start next month, the committee is concerned that a referral could detract from the Justice Department’s investigation. Despite the worry over additional attention, the committee’s evidence is irrefutable – it condemns Trump.
The committee has a job to do; report the results of their investigation. Make sure they and your representatives know where you stand – demand they make Trump’s criminal referral.

“Hello, my name is [NAME], and I live in [CITY, ZIP]. I am calling on [NAME] to demand that the January 6th committee make a criminal referral of President Donald Trump to the Justice Department. As we have seen, the committee has more than enough evidence to prove that Trump and several of his key officials knowingly impeded on the election and attempted to overturn its results. I ask that [NAME] call on their peers to deliver justice. Thank you.”
