Official Daily Action for Wednesday, February 16th, 2022
Last Monday, we joined MAPS-AMEN (American Muslim Empowerment Network), Afghans of Seattle, and OneAmerica for a phonebank to our state legislators. We called in support of Representative My-Linh Thai’s budget request of $30 million to support refugee resettlement in Washington. Resettlement agencies in the state have been overwhelmed by the increased number of arrivals and need the additional funding to support all refugees properly. The current Washington state legislative session ends on March 10th and we still need to call to support the budget request.
