This action was adapted from our friends at No New Washington Prisons.
Washington State locks up people with disabilities. Regardless of whether it’s in a prison or a hospital, we want it to end. No New Washington Prisons is currently working on a campaign to stop the $612 million expansion project at Western State Hospital. Don’t let the name fool you. Some folks hear “hospital” and think the institution must actually be taking care of people, but that’s just not true. Learn more about the issue and what you can do to make a difference at this Saturday’s Teach-In.
