In 2014, a team of Native activists and allies successfully advocated for the City of Seattle to recognize the second Monday in October as Indigenous Peoples’ Day. That year, United Indians hosted Seattle’s first Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration.
This year, due to COVID, the event will be held virtually.
It will be broadcast on the Seattle Channel (Comcast or Wave on Channel 21, DIRECTV on Channel 45) and live streamed from the event page link below.
