This week we are doing a marathon of calls and actions to stop the appointment of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. This is an emergency, not just because it will tip the Supreme Court conservative, but also because a man who faces legal troubles (Trump) is about to be allowed to appoint his own judge.
Just like with healthcare, Republicans are disrespecting the process of democracy by refusing to yield the entirety of Kavanaugh’s records and by dumping the information they are releasing at the last minute so that Senators do not have sufficient time to read them.
Today, call the Senate Judiciary Committee and tell them that the Kavanaugh nomination must be paused so that the Senate can properly evaluate the candidate and the circumstance of his nomination.

There is no reasonable excuse for the withholding of documents or the rush to push him through. Respect America’s constitution and democracy – release the 100,000 documents from Kavanaugh’s time in the Bush White House, and delay the hearings to allow full discussion of his record.”

Action 2: Get Friends to call their Senators
