Official Daily Action for Monday, April 20th, 2026
From 350.org, Troublemakers, Oil & Gas Action Network, FOOD & WATER WATCH, and Seattle DSA:
Send a letter to Seattle City Council and the Mayor about the proposed 5 large-scale data centers to call for a moratorium. Join the thousands of letter writers to send a strong message about resisting these centers, which could use up to 10 times more power than the city’s existing, smaller, 30 data centers.
Mayor Katie Wilson said Saturday the city has not authorized any new facilities and will explore a potential moratorium. More reason to write the council, urging them to move from “explore a potential moratorium” to “implement a complete moratorium” on new data centers.
