The Attorney General Investigations bill (SB 5925) is scheduled for executive session in the Senate Committee on Law & Justice on Thursday, January 29. Contact the Democrats on the committee and urge them to vote to advance the bill.
This bill would give the Attorney General pre-litigation subpoena powers or a CID (Civil Investigative Demand) of any private or public entity (such as a police department or sheriff’s office) where there has been credible civil rights violations of the federal or state constitution.
