OFFICIAL ACTION for Wednesday, August 20, 2025
Avelo Airlines is the first commercial airline in the U.S. to sign a deportation charter contract with ICE. Unmarked, secretive flights. No guarantee of due process. Public money subsidizing mass deportations.
Every day this contract stands, Avelo cashes in on tearing families apart — and every day it runs, deportation profiteering becomes more normalized. If they get away with it, other airlines will follow. Hit them on every front — at their airports, in the states and cities bankrolling them, and on the campuses that partner with them — until doing ICE’s dirty work costs too much to continue.

SCRIPT: “My name is [name] and I’m calling from [city, state]. I am calling to demand that Pasco stop Avelo Airlines from deportation flights that tear families apart, often without due process. We believe our airports should welcome people, not ICE. This airport should stop doing business with Avelo and refuse to allow deportation flights. These flights are state-sponsored cruelty in disguise.”

Cut off the legitimacy Avelo gains from its public-facing partnerships, especially universities.
