Prop 1 will renew the levy funding Seattle’s innovative Democracy Vouchers program. Since starting in 2017, the vouchers have significantly increased political participation and made running for office possible for a more diverse pool of candidates. The levy on the Aug 5 primary ballot will extend this program for another 10 years, ensuring Seattle continues at the forefront of actions to defend democracy and keep the government accountable to citizens rather than large corporate donors. This July 18-August 5, vote YES on Prop 1!
