Official Daily Action for Thursday, September 19, 2024
I-2117 is a conservative Washington state ballot initiative to repeal our cap-and-invest program, which would strip critical funding for climate investments, transportation, firefighting, and environmental work. First, you should just be aware of this initiative and make sure all your friends are voting NO:
In addition, 350Seattle has a great roundup of ways you can help volunteer to defeat the initiative:
- Find Local Actions!
Lots of opportunities to get involved are happening across the state, so make sure you check out this list of events and sign up for one near you! Events can include tabling at a farmers market or community event, canvassing door to door, postcard parties, and more! https://www.mobilize.us/no2117/
- Join the Mega Phone Bank!
The No on 2117 campaign is gearing up for a REALLY BIG Phonebank on Saturday, September 28th, 6-7:30pm and needs your help. Sign up here to join us! https://www.mobilize.us/no2117/event/680387/
If you can’t help on September 28th (and even if you can) please consider also helping at our standing phone banks, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays 6-8 pm. https://www.mobilize.us/no2117/event/672588/
We record Seattle Indivisible’s impact here, so please add your hard work too! https://goo.gl/forms/lbHUvI9h58f0dLqx1

Help keep Seattle Indivisible running: We are all volunteers at Seattle Indivisible, but a lot of what supports our basic operations, such as meeting spaces, fliers, and website hosting costs money. Please contribute to keep us going strong: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/seattleindivisible
Contributions or gifts to Seattle Indivisible are not tax deductible as charitable contributions or as business expenses under IRC Section 162(e).
