PRIDE ACTION This week – advocate!
Almost there folx!
Many right-wing extremists across the country have implemented a strategy against the most marginalized members of the LGBT community by limiting their access to healthcare. They are deliberately stripping away the healthcare rights of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, pushing them further into the margins of society. In a country where access to healthcare is already a luxury for many, these extremists are cruelly erecting even more barriers for those in need of life-saving gender-affirming care.

ORGANIZATIONS – This week, Lambert House
In their own words:
“Lambert House is a safe place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth ages 10-22. Our calendar is packed with fun activities, support groups, planning meetings, dances, and other events. Lambert House is where LGBTQ youth make life better for each other.”
A note from Velocity:
I feel like Lambert House is often overlooked when discussing queer organizations in the Seattle area because LH exclusively works with LGBTQ people under the age of 22. But they do such amazing work! The youngest members of the queer community are often the most at risk [of homelessness, poverty, suicide, etc.] so Lambert House was built to support the mental and physical safety of LGBTQ kids! I really admire them!
They also have this nifty little factsheet if you would like an overview of their work:
