The following action is a call for volunteers from the WA Immigrant Solidarity Network:
“This past weekend, we secured partial funding for health care access in the Legislature’s 2023-2025 budget through the Cascade Care Exchange Program and a Medicaid-like program that will be accessible to undocumented immigrants in Washington state. You can read more about the budget allocations in our press statement here: https://actionnetwork.org/user_files/user_files/000/091/354/original/HEIC_Responds_to_Final_WA_State_Budget_.pdf?link_id=0&can_id=cf5e89e8061788770c65094abd6aa7a5
While we are one step closer to equitable access to health care, there is still work to be done to ensure that our most vulnerable community members are able to access health care by 2024 and beyond. You can join the Health Equity for Immigrants Campaign and support our powerful coalition while we work to implement the programs we have secured funding for!
Please fill out our form so that you can help design and shape the implementation of equitable health care programs for ALL immigrants in Washington in 2024!”
We know not everyone will be able to volunteer, so if you are not able to do so, your daily action is to share/signal boost this call for volunteers, or donate to WAISN if you are able: https://www.waisn.org/donate
