From the good folks at Faith Action Network:
Two bills that will feed children and relieve hunger will be voted on in the Washington State House of Representatives in the coming week. HB 1238 would expand eligibility for free school meals to about 90,000 more children in our state, improving their ability to pay attention and learn. HB 1784 would provide funding to food banks and senior meal programs, and invest in fresh food incentives, replacing federal pandemic food benefits that are ending and help keep struggling Washingtonians from chronic hunger and its associated health issues.
