Hamas carried out a brutal massacre and mass kidnapping of Israeli civilians last weekend. We are outraged by this attack, for which there can be no justification. We are mourning with the Jewish community.
We are also horrified by the Israeli government’s response: the bombardment of civilians, mass displacement, and the blockade of food, water, medical and other supplies. And as the death toll of this war climbs, the risk of regional escalation rises. As of writing this action, Biden has struck a deal to allow limited aid to Gaza in through Egypt, but it’s not enough.
Please call all your federal representatives and ask them to protect Gazan civilians and de-escalate this crisis.
