Official Daily Action for Wednesday, October 18, 2023
About 300 asylum seekers are in urgent need of shelter and resources at Riverton Park United Methodist Church in Tukwila.
There’s an opportunity to support them by speaking at the Seattle City Council meeting TODAY at 5PM (Wednesday, Oct 18th).
We are advocating that Seattle’s emergency funding be allocated. If you are able, plan on spending from 4:45 PM – 8:00 PM at Seattle City Hall. You can either give a one-minute in-person testimony or submit an online comment using talking points provided.
Actions:
For in-person testimony:
— Show up at Seattle City Hall, 2nd Floor
— Sign-up starts at 4:45 PM
For remote comments:
— Sign up online at 3 PM
