Next month in Ohio, abortion access will be explicitly on the ballot with a state constitutional amendment that would establish a right to “make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions.”
Meanwhile in Virginia, every seat in the state’s two legislative bodies are up for election. The future of abortion rights in Virginia are literally up for grabs, with Gov. Glenn Youngkin pushing for a 15-week abortion ban in the state. Republicans only need to flip three seats in the state senate to win a trifecta and restrict Virginians’ right to bodily autonomy.
You can help make sure that Ohioans and Virginians are able to make decisions about their own bodies for years to come by writing letters to residents of those states to urge them to vote in next month’s election.
VoteForward needs volunteers to write nearly 170,000 letters over the next two weeks. Go to https://votefwd.org/campaigns to sign up today.
