Seattle Indivisible is excited to announce that we are endorsing the Yes to East King County PUD campaign! This campaign is seeking to replace Puget Sound Energy, a foreign-owned, for-profit monopoly that provides electricity and natural gas to 10 counties in Washington State, including east King County, with a community-owned, locally-regulated utility that is formed by a vote of the people.
Check out the campaign’s website at https://ekc-pud.org, and share with all of your friends on the East Side to make sure they know about this effort and sign the petition.

The Yes to EKC PUD campaign’s website has a ton of information about how Public Utility Districts work, where the EKC PUD would source its electricity from (cleaner sources!), and what would happen to rates (they’d likely decrease), so check it out and share with your friends!
