Today’s Daily Action comes from the Economy Opportunity Institute: The Keep Our Care Act (SB5688) needs our help to pass out of the Law and Justice Committee. Keep Our Care prevents mergers and acquisitions of hospitals and healthcare systems from impeding on patient care. Unchecked, these consolidations can raise patient costs, jeopardize quality of care, and barr access for essential services Services like reproductive, end-of-life, and gender-affirming care. Keep Our Care enforces greater oversight over health system mergers, ensures protection against diminished access, and ultimately gives communities autonomy over their healthcare choices.
Time runs out to pass Keep or Care on Thursday, February 8th. To move it out of Committee, your state Senators need to hear your support for the Act. Keep healthcare comprehensive, affordable, and accessible with the Keep Our Care Act!
