Yesterday, Republicans seized the majority in the House. Progressives did much better in the midterms than expected, but once Congress is split, House Republicans will do nothing but obstruct progess. Democrats must take advantage of the time before the inauguration of the next Congress to achieve our policy goals!
If we convince Congress to stay in session seven days a week until their work is done, then we have the opportunity to achieve priorities such as: lifting the debt ceiling through reconciliation, passing viable bipartisan legislation like the Respect for Marriage Act, instituting reforms to the Electoral Count Act, confirming federal judges, and securing progressive wins.

Call your representative and ask them to stay in session until their work is done. We must use every minute of our existing trifecta to achieve necessary legislative victories for the American people, and Congress has the ability to stay in session and do so.
