Before we dive in, THANK YOU to everyone who called, wrote, texted or even travelled for a US Senate race. The Senate has been called for Democrats!
Last week, the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN), of which Seattle Indivisible is a member, sent a letter to Gov. Inslee requesting, in their words, “that the governor’s 2023-2025 biennial budget include funding towards equitable access to health coverage for immigrant communities.” The request is that the governor fully fund in-the-works healthcare programs so they are accessible and affordable to the undocumented community.
We believe that immigrants who live, work, pay taxes, and are part of our communities in Washington State deserve access to affordable healthcare!

“My name is [NAME] from [PLACE]. Please fully fund health coverage for immigrant communities in the 2023-2025 biennial budget, and meet all the demands of the November 4th Health Equity for Immigrants Campaign letter. The letter asks to fully fund the programs that will offer medicare-equivalent coverage and Cascade Care access to undocumented immigrants. Immigrants in our community deserve access to affordable health care coverage, and we should set these new programs up for success in the next budget.
