Urge Mayor Harrell to extend Seattle’s Eviction Moratorium

Official Daily Action for Wednesday, January 12th, 2022

Seattle’s moratorium on evictions is set to expire this Saturday, January 15th. The omicron variant is spreading quickly throughout Seattle, overwhelming our healthcare systems and disrupting schools and workplaces. COVID tests remain difficult to get. Evictions disproportionately impact Black, Indigenous and communities of color and LGBTQ+ renters, often leading to homelessness. Today’s daily action, adapted from the Transit Riders Union, is to call Mayor Bruce Harrell and urge him to extend Seattle’s eviction moratorium.
