Another week closer to Seattle Pride: Resilience, another weekend of taking action to support our Queer community!
There is a mix of both virtual and in person events happening in the area, so make sure to show up and support our local LGBTQIA+ community this week!
Many of these Pride Month events are put on by amazing organizations right here in the Puget Sound area who have paved the way for rainbow resources across the country. This makes it a perfect time to check in with our Queer community leaders and activists to see what they are doing and how we can help!
When I see the legacy of hardworking Queer activists here in Seattle it fills me with ***PRIDE***!
DONATE, VOLUNTEER, AND LEARN ABOUT THESE LOCAL ADVOCATES
Gay City: Seattle’s LGBTQ Center was started by Seattle activists responding to the HIV Crisis over 25 years ago. Now, while still the leading HIV/STI tester in King County, they work hard to provide affirming and responsive resources, wellness, and community – including throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Queer Nature is a queer-run nature education and ancestral skills program across Washington’s Rainbow Community. They work to educate and build solidarity between Queerness, Environmentalism, and Indigenous communities who have been pushed off the land.
Ingersoll Gender Center is one of the oldest organizations by and for transgender and gender nonconforming communities in the United States. They have been advocating and organizing for our communities in the Puget Sound region for over four decades!

United Territories of Pacific Islanders Alliance (UTOPIA) was born out of the struggles, challenges, strength, and resilience of the Queer and Trans Pacific Islander community in South King County. They do tons of community organizing including the [trans] ACTION event below, providing covid relief, and translating covid safety documents into Pacific languages.
Cascade AIDS Project has been a community leader in the fight against HIV throughout both Washington and Oregon for over three decades. They are a longstanding resource for LGBTQ+ health at all ages and demographics.
