Official daily action for Monday, April 5, 2021:
====
Today’s action is from the good folks at Disability Rights Washington.
Right now, legislators in Olympia are debating transportation investments worth billions of dollars over the next 16 years — almost all dedicated to highways. People of color, low-income communities, and disabled people who can’t or don’t drive are getting left behind! We can do better than this.
First, watch and share this short video created by Front and Centered of fierce BIPOC and disability advocates calling for dignity in transportation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-LXAXsvtB0
Next, take action to tell our elected leaders to fund and build the safe sidewalks, accessible crossings, and reliable and accessible transit so that Washington has safe, clean, and fair transportation for all!
