Official Daily Action for Wednesday, March 3rd, 2020
The Washington State Legislature is currently considering HB 1072, “Removing only one of the restrictions on the use of civil legal aid funds.” State law currently has funds for civil legal assistance for low income people in Washington, but undocumented immigrants are prohibited from accessing these funds. HB 1072 would remove that restriction, and allow anyone in Washington to access them. The bill has officially passed the House and has now been introduced in the Senate. Today’s daily action is to comment on the bill and to tell your Senator to vote for HB1072!
