Official Daily Action for Wednesday, February 10th, 2020
Back in January, we contacted our representatives about HB 1090, a bill that would ban private detention facilities in Washington, including Tacoma’s Northwest ICE Processing Center, recently renamed from the Northwest Detention Center. The bill is almost out of House Rules Committee and we need to keep the pressure up to make sure it hits the House floor. Today’s action comes from La Resistencia, a local grassroots immigrants-rights group.
