Signal Boost From Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County:
Black Lives Matter Seattle-King County fights in solidarity with the labor movement in leading a local and state-wide day of direct action with all those who plan to #StrikeforBlackLives on Monday, July 20.
What can we accomplish together in a single work day?
Seismic change.
Every hour starting at 8am, we will issue a direct action demand for everyone to help win through collective, online advocacy. We will announce direct action demands online on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/588988391798018/, at http://blacklivesseattle.org, on Instagram (@BLMSKC), and Twitter (@BLMSeattleKC) starting at 8am on Monday.
“Every day, Black and Brown bodies are sacrificed to protect society’s comfort and save the economy,” said BLMSKC Board Chair Ebony Miranda. “With cases on the rise statewide, we need to make sure we are supporting workers with proper testing, PPE and overall healthcare. The health and wellness of essential workers is currently an afterthought. This is a public health crisis. This is racism. Racism is a public health crisis.” -Ebony Miranda, BLMSKC Board Chair
Additionally, we encourage people to support all workers by giving directly to the following efforts and organizations:
• Latino Civic Alliance

• WA Immigrant Solidarity Network -Red de Solidaridad de Inmigrantes en WA
