Today we’re continuing to highlight state politics as the Washington State legislative session barrels along. There are 3 important gun safety bills (described below) that are up for a floor vote in the House or Senate and need to be voted through by this Wednesday in order to pass during this session. Gun violence is an epidemic in this country and it’s time to take steps to address it head on – so let’s contact our legislators and ask them to vote for these bills ASAP.

Support SB 6288: This bill would create the WA Office of Firearm Violence Prevention to coordinate and promote efforts to reduce firearm violence. Its duties will include working with law enforcement, researching prevention strategies, and supporting firearm violence victim services.
