Official Daily Action for Tuesday January 15, 2019
Today, for the 3rd time, Democrats in the Senate blocked a bill unrelated to reopening the government. They are refusing to allow business as usual until the government is open, without funding for a wall on our southern border. Let’s tell our Senators how much we appreciate them standing against Trump’s racist wall, and that we want them to keep it up!
This call is especially important because Republicans have been trying to motivate their base to call into Senate offices in favor of funding the wall. There are more of us. Let’s make sure it shows in the call logs.

Sen. Patty Murray–DC 202-224-2621; Seattle 206-553-5545

Sen. Maria Cantwell–DC 202-224-3441; Seattle 206-220-6400

“Hello, I’m [name] from [city, zip]. I’m calling about the budget and the #TrumpShutDown. I want to thank [Senator] for standing against funding for Trump’s racist wall. I appreciate her representing me and the people of Washington State. I’m also asking her to continue to withhold consent on all Senate business that isn’t a floor vote on a clean budget, without a wall. The Senate passed a clean budget unanimously in December, and Speaker McConnell needs to bring it up for a vote in the new Senate.”
