Sensing the blue wave coming this November, Republicans are doing everything in their power to load federal courts with right-wing judges. Among the latest crop is Kyle Duncan, an attorney who has spent his career defending such causes as the North Carolina’s Bathroom Bill, voter ID laws, Hobby Lobby’s anti-birth-control stance, and Louisiana’s ban on marriage equality. Tell our Senators to stop this nomination at all costs!

Resist Trump Tuesday Lunch Meeting

This week we are doing something a little different in place of our weekly Resist Trump Tuesday Rally. We will still meet at the Federal Bldg. at 11:45AM, then we will go inside and downstairs to the cafeteria to have a sit down facilitated discussion. Sen. Murray and Sen. Cantwell’s staff are unable to meet with us this Tuesday so we want to use this time to discuss reshaping our weekly meetings with Senate staff. One of the staffers has suggested we consider designating certain topics we want to discuss each week and then take a deeper dive on those topics at the staff meeting. We want to discuss on Tuesday what you think about this idea, hear your ideas and what you most want to get from these staff meetings, and how you want to proceed to make our weekly meetings with Senate staff the most productive for us and Senate Staffers Kate and Tommy.

A representative from the Initiative 1631 Clean Air, Clean Energy campaign will speak to our group and be happy to answer any questions you may have.
We will discuss coalition efforts to help restore trust in the Washington State Department of Licensing after sharing information with ICE against Governor Inslee’s executive order AND what we can do to help.
We will take a swipe at Sinclair Broadcasting and let them know propaganda doesn’t play well in Seattle.
