Official Daily Action for Wednesday, October 24
Ballots went out last week. Have you received your ballot? Fill it out, and send it in! It is postage paid this year, no stamps required. Good news: It’s also shorter than usual. Getting this done early will make sure you get in your vote!
Also: Voting early, in Washington, will significantly reduce the delay in counting votes after Election Day, helping ensure the momentum from midterm election results starts on Election Night. Voting early makes the counting easier on election night. It gets you off a lot of call and text lists, so the volunteers can focus on the people who haven’t voted yet. It makes sure you won’t forget, or miss the dropbox cutoff on Election day. Get this done, so you can focus on helping others vote.
IF YOU DON’T HAVE A BALLOT YET: Get that fixed here https://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/elections/how-to-vote/ballots/replacing-a-ballot-or-envelope.aspx
IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO ISN’T REGISTERED: They can still register in person until Oct 29 (Monday) at the King County Elections Offices in Seattle and Renton, or at a King County Outreach event. Details at https://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/elections/how-to-vote/register-to-vote.aspx
Action 1: VOTE!
Fill out your ballot and put it in your outgoing mail. Do it now. Let the post office take care of the rest.

Keep the receipt at the top of your ballot, so you can track that your ballot got counted. You can also download some fun “I Voted” digital stickers for social media from kingcounty.gov/elections/ivoted.
Action 2: GOTV WA-08: Commit to a Canvass shift
OK, ballot in the outgoing mail? Help Get Out the Vote, especially in WA-08. That one person you talk to in Kent or Issaquah might be the vote that sends Dr. Kim Schrier to the House, and might be the vote that flips the house. Seriously. This race is close, and it’s close-by. Don’t forget that Dino Rossi only lost the 2004 Governor’s race by 130 votes.
