Seattle No Kings- Oct 18

12:00 Rally Seattle Center
– by the International Fountain
1:00 March from Seattle Center towards Downtown

( pass by Westlake station), thru downtown (a little over 1 mile), route not released for safety reasons.

Seattle’s resistance is growing to meet this historic moment of rising authoritarianism. In April, 25,000 rallied to say #HandsOff. In June 70,000 marched, joining 5 million+ nationwide. Now, as Trump orchestrates a government shutdown to strip our healthcare, jobs, and protections—and deploys troops in our streets to crush dissent—Seattle rises again.

Organizers and supporters of the No Kings movement call President Trump’s recent actions increasingly authoritarian, expressing concern over moves to expand executive power, federal deployment in cities and policies affecting education, immigration, and environmental protections. Protesters say their goal is to defend democratic institutions and civil rights, pointing to a commitment to peaceful, non-violent action.

Almost 11 Percent of Seattle Marched at No Kings Rally.

Seattle’s Best Inflatables Hit the Streets: On Saturday, 90,000 protesters hit the streets for the No Kings march in Seattle, according to an initial estimate from the organizers. If their guess is right, this march beat the first No Kings march by 20k, and amounts to about 11 percent of the city’s population. It’s clear that Seattle doesn’t know what our answer to Portland’s protest frogs are. There were inflatable axolotls, inflatable sumo wrestlers, inflatable unicorns, inflatable dinosaurs, an inflatable St. Rat. But our sign game was solid.

Another round of “No Kings” protests took place Saturday with gatherings across Washington and nationwide. The coalition that organized the Seattle Hands Off and Seattle No Kings march back in June organized a rally and march on Saturday at Seattle Center. The group marched peacefully through downtown Seattle from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. – just as organizers planned. Police monitored the scene, and reported at one point, the marchers stretched for over a mile.

We’re marching together against the abuses of power, cruelty, and corruption. On October 18, we gather to remind President Trump and his enablers: America has No Kings!

NO KINGS is a peaceful, national day of action–a mass mobilization of ordinary Americans determined to stop the rising authoritarianism and corruption of the Trump administration.

💰 President Trump wants to be a dictator. But Americans bow to No Kings: Trump seeks to silence all voices but his. He’s using orders, threats, intimidation, and the full force of the federal government to crush dissent—seeking to control what schools teach, what news and voices we hear, and weaponizing the Department of Justice against his critics.

👑 Trump is dividing us to maintain power. We’re stronger together: Trump is advancing a white nationalist agenda, targeting and terrorizing our communities instead of uniting us. The world has seen this playbook—and it’s dangerous.

💪Trump is turning the federal government against the American people. Trump is building a government he alone controls—serving himself and billionaires who curry his favor. While he guts critical programs, protections and freedoms for ordinary Americans, he orders troops and masked agents into our cities.

✋ Only The People can stop him: While Congress and corporate interests cower, we will not be intimidated. We must rise–together, in mass numbers that cannot be ignored–as a firewall against authoritarian rule. Our democracy, our children’s future, and the global order depend on it.

October 18th. Seattle Center. Be there.

A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to non-violent action. This event is a protected expression of our First Amendment rights. We have a commitment to keeping all members of our community safe. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to the event.

We hope you will join us on Saturday. We are determined not to let the Trump administration’s fear tactics silence us.
