Official Daily Action for Friday, April 10th, 2026
From Our.Seattle & Stop Surveillance City:
Friday (that’s today!) rally at City Hall! Please join to hear speakers from impacted communities and experts on surveillance and data security! Starts at exactly noon, so don’t be late! We’ll have free tamales for attendees until they run out.
ACTION: Show up & join the Rally at noon Friday April 10 at City Hall! Don’t be late! Demand Mayor Wilson keep her campaign promise and Stop the Surveillance.
If you can’t go to the rally, then email city council with the same message! Send it to [email protected].
SCRIPT:
My name is [name] and I’m writing from Seattle, [postal code]. I’m writing to ask Mayor Wilson and the council divert funding from surveillance cameras to actual safety programs. Last year, City Council took millions of dollars from programs its own reports recommended for addressing violence, and spent it on cameras. Stop contributing to mass surveillance and start supporting community, help neighbors build connections.
