No Restrictions for Charity Care!
SB 6257 imposes burdensome residency restrictions on hospital charity care, which could result in barriers for residents and non-residents alike, especially for those who can’t easily prove residency due to immigration status, housing instability, or student/temporary worker status. Washington is a sanctuary state for reproductive and gender-affirming care, and we’re concerned this bill runs counter to that stance.

Let’s improve the Health Insurance Exchange!
HB 2361 allows the Health Insurance Exchange to transition to all standard plans by 2027, so that only those plans with cost-sharing designed by the state could be sold on the Exchange.
