We have just over one week left to vote in the November general election, which will determine the makeup of the next Seattle City Council, and have a huge impact on how Seattle responds to both our city’s housing crisis and the broader climate crisis.
The next City Council will decide whether to reject or accept Mayor Harrell’s comprehensive plan, which will decide how Seattle responds to the two greatest crises facing our city and our country. Mayor Harrell does not seem ready to tackle the enormity of either crisis, which is why we need a strong, forward-thinking City Council ready to act as a backstop to the Mayor.
