Support a Fossil Free King County. #FossilFreeKC

On Monday, King County Councilmember Dave Upthegrove is expected to introduce an ordinance that will put a 6-month moratorium on new fossil fuel infrastructure in King County, and set the state for more permanent changes in the future. This is a small but crucial step in stopping climate change and protecting our communities. Let your Councilmember know that you support this ordinance.

Scheduling Reminders:

This coming Tuesday there will be a shutdown-themed Resist Trump Tuesday Rally, 11:45 a.m. outside the Federal Building, followed by a meeting with House staffers. There will be no nightly Seattle Indivisible meeting (nightly meetings resume in February on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, 7pm at the Washington Labor Council!).

Why are we still holding a shutdown themed rally? This is only a temporary reopening, so we are going forward with our Tuesday rally to call attention to the personal pain caused by the shutdown, to say don’t use government workers as hostages again in 3 weeks, and to stand strong for no wall and no pitting one immigrant group against another.
